Sticky notes, otherwise known as Post-it notes, are one of the world’s most versatile tools for brainstorming. You can write a brief description of your ideas, one per note, and then affix them to a wall or other flat surface.

But that’s not all. What makes them really powerful is that you can move them around and regroup them into collections that make the most sense to you. It’s also easy to add dots to them for a form of team-based idea evaluation called “dot voting.”
